The FLYL third grade program is designed to enhance player development and lacrosse fundamentals. Particular emphasis will be on improving lacrosse skills, overall team concepts, and understanding the rules of the game. The program is designed to improve player development and seeks to instill confidence, sportsmanship, as well as enjoyment and respect for the game of lacrosse. The third program will include home and away games against neighboring youth programs. The general understanding is that kids are still trying different sports, however practice and game participation is expected. The number of teams will depend upon the number of girls that register.

Eye Guards - 2021 US Lacrosse has new guidelines for complaint Eye Guards. All FLYL players MUST have NOCSAE approved Eye Guards.
Sticks - We have found having the appropriate stick is essential in the development of our young players. We strongly recommend any all players at the K-3 grade level purchase and play with a stick that has current technology, with a ready to play optimal pocket for quick release and easy catching capabilities.

Mouth-guards - Approved mouthguard are required for all games and practices.

Goalie Chest Protectors 2021 US Lacrosse has new guidelines for complaint Girls Goalie Chest Protectors. All FLYL girls goalies MUST have NOCSAE approved Chest Protectors (FLYL will have one chest protector per team equipment bag, but if your daughter has ambition to play goalie, we do recommend that you purchase one specifically for your daughter).

Uniforms - All Players will receive a practice pinnie at the first practice.
